The Process

Four Steps to Certification

Our team of experts will guide and support you through the process of becoming an Atlantic Canada Certified Site, from application to designation.

Start the process by gathering information and verifying your eligibility.

Property owners interested in obtaining the Atlantic Canada Certified Sites designation may submit their application online after completing a self-assessment questionnaire followed by a pre-application consultation with a member of the certification team. Create an account or contact us to get started.

Submit a complete application with additional details to move forward.

Applications confirmed as eligible, after a review by a third-party certifier, will receive the requirements for additional supporting documentation and payment of the program fee. With this, you’ll be able to submit your complete application.

Schedule an expert inspection for an in-person evaluation of your site.

Once your supporting documentation has been reviewed, a third-party certifier will reach out to schedule a property inspection. Their evaluation of your documentation and the results of the inspection will inform their recommendation to certify your site, which is then reviewed by the Atlantic Canada Certified Sites team.

Show your property to the world with your Atlantic Canada Certified Sites designation.

Once approved, your property receives an Atlantic Canada Certified Site designation, valid for two years. Your newly development-ready certified site will be posted to Atlantic4.ca and promoted to global investors through the program website and international marketing campaigns.
